jane the virgin!









Hello, and welcome back to Kay-tvtalk! Today's show that i chose to talk about is totally different in genre from last weeks featured show. This show is called Jane the virgin. Jane the virgin is an american telenovela, and although there is a lot of Spanish language in the show, it still keeps you very much invested. The main character's name is Jane Villanueva. Jane is engaged to the love of her life, almost finished with her teaching degree, and is very in touch with her catholic views instilled in her by her grandmother mainly against sex before marriage. Jane literally has every inch of her life planned out until the unthinkable happened at her routine visit to the clinic. She was accidentally artificially inseminated with a specimen meant for a patient in the next room! Then shortly after realizing she was pregnant, she found out she was pregnant with her boss Rafael's baby which was meant for his wife Petra. All of this drama takes place on this first episode it only leaves you wanting to see more. Now there are the questions of: is Jane going to keep the baby?, what will her fiancé think?, will she finally get her teaching degree?, will the catholic church disown her? will she have sex now that she is already PREGNANT? Jane the virgin is filled with juicy drama and it leaves you very attached to the plot and its characters. It is also a very funny show, a lot of the things that happen to Jane and other characters are just flat out ironic. I love this show and i love how they show that when Jane is faced with unforeseen circumstances she makes a lot of changes in her life and within herself, and the best part.......... you can never predict whats going to happen next! INSECURE?

Hello, and welcome back to Kay-tvtalk. The show I chose to talk about today is called Insecure. This show plays on HBO, and is about 35 minutes long. It just finished it’s second season, and each season is only about nine episodes so there is plenty of time to catch up.This show is literally one my favorite shows ever, and this is simply because of the authenticity this show portrays. The show was created by it’s co-star Issa Rae and the writer/comic Larry Wilmore. The show focuses on Issa and her best friend Molly as they deal with everyday issues in dating, relationships, jobs, and friendships, as well as working to fix their own flaws as individuals. This show is especially unique because some of the issues the two women face are specific to black women. Hello and welcome back to Kay-tvtalk! The show i chose to talk about today is called Power. This show premieres on Starz, and usually one of the exclusive channels for any cable company. You can also purchase an account with Starz and view the series online at Starz.com. This series is not offered on Netflix because it is a Starz original series. Power is the most popular show on this network. It just finished its fourth season at the end of the summer.The show's co executive is the rapper 50 Cent, so this has brought a lot of the publicity to the show as well. I actually heard about this show from a friend and one day finally decided to give it a try, so I had to binge watch it to catch up, but its literally so worth it!
